TCL Packaging has achieved a double A rating from its recent BRCĀ (British Retail Consortium) audit.
The BRC accreditation ‘Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials’ was upgraded to version 5, effective from 1st January 2016. This was a comprehensive upgrade which included quality now being explicitly included in hazard and risk analysis. Ā It also includes a new section on graphic design and artwork control and another section added on incoming goods.
TCL Packaging’s quality team carried out a comprehensive gap analysis against the requirement of the previous high hygiene standard and, following the recent re-certification audit, was awarded the new AA grade (just two minor non-conformities).
The BRC standard continues to be the primary hygiene accreditation demanded by all leading food manufacturers and processors. Ā It gives them complete confidence in their packaging supplier’s processes, from beginning to end.
