TCL Packaging hosted its first technical learn shop on 14th May and received positive reviews from attendees. āUnderstanding the print and production process for flexible packagingā took place at the companyās production unit in Stafford Park, Telford.
Topics included: the process of platemaking and reprographics for flexographic print, Ā developments in ink technology, an introduction to print, and how to choose the correct substrate for each product application.
The event attracted a variety of attendees including food and non-food manufacturers, brand owners and retailers who came together to develop their learning and network with others.Ā A tour of the TCL factory enabled delegates to see the flexographic process in action including plate preparation, working printing presses, slitting and lamination.
Research feedback from the delegates showed very high ratings for the event, tour and presentations.Ā A second event in June is now fully booked but the company has plans for further dates in Autumn 2015.
