TCL Packaging has completed its move to new premises in Stafford Park Industrial Estate, Telford. The move from the previous Telford site to the new one was completed over one weekend 5-6th July, 2014.
The companyâs ambitious plans to be up and running in its new home by Monday 7th July was achieved. The new site provides 70,000 square feet of production area for printed packaging films. This is 2½ times the capacity of the companyâs previous premises, six miles away in Hortonwood, in service for the last 13 years.
The new site not only offers increased capacity but has larger technical and testing laboratories. As part of the move, TCL installed an additional state-of-the-art Uteco Onyx press, the second in less than three years. A Rofin-Baasel laser scribing unit was also installed and commissioned to increase the range of capabilities on offer. The move is also expected to result in new jobs and apprenticeships in the region.
âThe TCL team has been amazingâ says managing director Mike Golding âIt was all hands on deck for 48 hours and itâs impressive what good teamwork can achieve. We are now all looking forward to the next exciting stage in our companyâs developmentâ
